He *had* to be - the server was passworded, remember?

How about Pocono?<g>

Good ideas...

Yeah, I hadn't realized that it was locked on the easy setups until I read the
chat logs the next day.  I'm gonna be in trouble if we use the fast setup - the
pull to the left screws me up.  *Maybe* I can get enough practice in to get at
least USED to it...

I read that it was supposed to be.  But the password column in the lobby
didn't reflect that, & I didn't enter a password before I entered.  May
want to double check the settings again before Sunday.

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the
citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a
double-edged sword. It both emboldens the ***, just as it narrows the
mind.  And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the
*** boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no
need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry,
infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their
rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I
have done. And I am Caesar."   -- Julius Caesar

How can one be sure that he wasn't from ras?  Think it's safe to say, the
lurkers FAR outweigh the posters.

Yep; IMO, we'd need at least that many to make it fun........and at least
that many to STAY in that race.

I haven't had to enter a password yet.

His anme was Jim Yauch. I guess it's possible he's posted or only lurks
here, but I'm fairly positive I've never seen that name. Also, since
Eldred's servers haven't required a password.....

Jim is probably a lurker here.  He actually races in my OSCAR division
and is both a gentleman and talented racer.

Well...the other option would be to run with open setups, but that
would be less likely to produce a close IROC-like race...

But yeah, man.  Don't even waste your time with the easy/intermediate
setups once you've gotten to the point where you can keep your car on
the track.  If you want to be fast, you've got to deal with the pull.

The first server was *supposed* to.  Damn...I got some more tweaking(and
learning) to do, I guess.

Agreed.

Currently, I'm zigzagging down the straights.  I canNOT run in a pack if I'm
doing this.  You guys with FF wheels apparently have it a bit easier since
you're not fighting a centering force.  This is gonna be TOUGH...

Eldred you sound just like Larry.  I've run FF and non FF wheels for the
past year and really it doesn't make much difference.  You get some 'fight'
from the FF wheel, but the spring-tension in the non FF wheel provides the
same balancing force.

I have a non-FF wheel, that really doesn't matter.  Try decreasing your
linearity to around 50%.  That way, if you saw the wheel, it has less
affect.
