The following is a letter/news release sent to my fellow drivers on
the TPTCC circuit.

Well After Bullrun, no need to say anything about it...The Team
Transporter was stolen Saturday, we had to drive all the way back to
Spokane(pronounced Spo can)and pick up our backup car.  Unfortunately it
was not all assembled so we had to rebuild it at the track.  Got done
just as Qualifying started and so without any setup managed a weak first
round q spot.
I don't need to tell ya about the damaged wheels our front tire man
Shinji Mycarno now has to repair, I don't need to tell ya that I
finished the 2nd round on 2 count'em! 2 wheels.
What I need to speak about is the future, I should be trucking up to
Portland to get the GTP car ready and sort out our new rebuilt Stratus,
but another offer came up.  I got a chance to fly out to New York and
participate in a Historics drive at Watkins Glenn.  There were Lotus'
and Eagles nary a wing or spoiler in sight.
Imagine my suprise when I locked up the left front while approaching a
curve and saw the tire tread come instantly into complete view(locked up
remember!)  Imagine my suprise when I went blasting down the straight
before the Inner Loop only to find that the Glenn officials had
re-configured the track to match it's 1967 shape.  Imagine if you will,
having to lift off the accelerator while upshifting to prevent
over-revving.  Just imagine my embarrassment when after a spectacular
missed braking point I crashed into the wooden fence(suprisingly strong
that eastern wood) and ended up bouncing onto the top of a hay bale.
Did you ever imagine that you could spin off the track and end up
coasting backwards, downhill, IN A DITCH???  Imagine my suprise when I
finally completed a complete lap!  :)
Yessir sports fans, When GPL is transformed into Nascar3, there will
be lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth, and when that engine is placed
into a winged, tunnel bottomed Champ car....Gawd help the meek and
insignificant...
This is Dave Henrie putting his eyeballs back in...

Heya Dave,
Am I to take it that you are a Spo can resident. I'm over here in the Coor
da lane area and wouldn't mind finding some modem ah modem action. You could
probably teach me a few things :)) Either that, or I could show you how we
hillbillys drive. :)
