Hi!

Can you compare a racing sim to sliced bread? ;^)
This will be a time killer like few sims before...

OTOH, there are two problems that I HAVE to mention:

Sound:
The engine sound is from Nascar2, I know, but when
the car is stopped, I don't hear any engine sound!

Controls:
Unlike ICR2 and Nascar2 I cannot use the pedals on
my TM GP1 for shifting gears, only the buttons are
accepted in the control setup. This is VERY bad...

When I heard about the 3D arms and steering wheel,
I was very negative. After seeing the last AVI and
now driving the demo I can only say:
Eric T. Bush was right! It's really well done.

Now I have to get back on the road, thank god I'm on
vacation this week... ;^) (GPL, F15)

Same here.

This is logical in a strange way, think about it: in a real car, if
you are in first gear, the clutch is not depressed and the car is not
moving - do you hear engine sound? No, since the engine would be off
(unless you're doing a burn-out.) Try putting the shifter into
neutral, or use the clutch (keyboard "delete" by default) and you will
hear the engine idling. What's illogical is that the engine doesn't
die if you stop with a gear engaged - and boy, am I happy for that!
Imagine having to restart the engine each time you involuntarily leave
the track. :)

True, but OH THE WIND in the GP car at speed is awesome!

Another GP1er here.  I had the same "problem", so I assigned the shifting to
the buttons, and the clutch to the left flipper.   My F1RS setup is to use
the flippers for gear changes, my CH Pro Pedals handling accelerator and
brakes, so naturally I anticipated a steep adjustment curve.  However, I
surprised myself by getting up to speed fairly quickly.

Then it hit me today at work while daydreaming of being in a Lotus at the
Glen on a sunny Spring day.  All those years ridding motorcycles finally has
a purpose.
