OT: Help with ADSL

by 5th Docto » Fri, 02 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I turn to my fellow racers for advice on ADSL service.
After losing a Monza race due to screen flashes entering parabolica on the
last lap, I'm seeking a high bandwidth alternative to my current ISP.

I have just spent a couple of hours searching the net for info, and my brain
is about to explode.

I'm seeking ADSL information on...

access from San Francisco Bay Area.
Price range in the area of $80 or less.
What do I need to use ADSL, since I'm not really up on this technology.

I welcome responses on experience's, links, recommendations, etc.

E-mail is preferred, but I'll take what I can get.

ADSL will have to come from your phone company first, so give them a
call and see if they have it (or plan to) available in your area.  For
background information <http://whatis.com/dsl.htm>.
