Thrustmaster FF & Nascar 2

My Nephew got a Thrustmaster FF wheel for Christmas, and has had reasonable
success with it, with various sim's/games, but when running N2 the darn game
does not detect the wheel at all!!!

They have it set up using the USB port, but the wheel also has a 9 pin
serial port available too (I don't think they tested it with the serial
port)

Has anyone else had problems getting N2 to detect and use the Thrustmater
Force Feedback steering wheel???

I'm stumped, because windows detects it just fine, and the thrustmaster
software that came with it works fine too, as does other games....

Help, anyone!

Thanks in advance!

N2 is an old program that is really a dos program hiding in a windows
shell.  To use the USB you must have a windows program running it...I
don't think any dos program will operate a usb wheel correctly.  In N99
you have a choice between dos or windows programs, I can't remember is
N2 has this as well but if it does, choose the .exe file that has a
fancy looking icon rather than the plain box icon.  That "might" get ya
going.  Also make sure your usb wheel is listed as the first device in
the controllers section of win9x.
