are there any details or screen shots as to how the 3dfx will be, can it
beat the rendition version? , i have both cards so just can't wait to
see which one is the best i am hoping the 3dfx will be.

i imagine that the 3dfx version SHOULD be better, but who knows. i hope the
3dfx version is good cause i dont have a rendition card and i want to get
one just for nascar2. but i am going to wait to see how fine the GLIDE
version is.  only sierra/papy have the rights right now to show any screen
shots and there not, as of yet.
we can only wait and hope.

3DFX has said it will be faster (but they don't know by how much yet).
Also, I presume it would support bilenear filtering.

Have you heard if it will support NROS Joe?  If so, then I'm takin back my
Stealth II now and gettin a 3Dfx card.  If not, then I wouldnt buy a 3Dfx
card just to race N2 OFFline.

I don't know. It doesn't seem all that likely - didn't the NROS
require a new N2 executable? Since the 3dfx patch is being done by a
different programming team (i.e., 3dfx, not Papyrus) it seems it would
be difficult to integrate the NROS code into the 3dfx version. I
presume it would, at least, still support KALI and modem multiplay
though.

Yeah, the NROS executable is different.  That's a shame really.  I was
getting e***d about the 3Dfx patch, but I do most of my racing on TEN now
so thats a mute point for me now.
.....and racing on Kali?......yeah right!  <g>

It did NOT. The Frame rate was choppy in traffic, there was stuttering of
the engine sound when passing the main grand stands, and, it was a bear to
install. After they patch it, well, then you may have something, but
awesome....I think not....

Cindy Crawford looked great in my dream but the flying monkeys had
texture problems.
