Just to add my disappointment also in the latest debacle involving the
much anticipated N2, 3dfx port & patch. Sounds like the kind folks at
3dfx did their part and now we are being jerked around by
Sierra/Papyrus. I think if we would just get better info on the delay
or problems they're having with this port it would make things more
tolerable but anticipating a much sought date of Dec. 22nd to only
hear the famous, "Early next year, blah blah blah" obviously insults
our intelligence and tells us absolutely nothing.
Anyhow, as I stated in the title of this thread, would like to pass
along just a bit of encouraging info regarding the Stealth II and N2
support in Dos. Found this info on the message board at:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
not working in Dos with certain "Speedy3d" titles including N2. To sum
it up, here's my reply with the info to point you to this great little
conversion utility:
"Just tested this and can confirm that it indeed does allow Rendition
Nascar2 play in Dos with the Stealth II. Just go to
http://www.racesimcentral.net/~liaor and get V2DOSFIX. Txt file included with
instructions. Thanks to the original poster for pointing this util.
out and especially to the author, Royce Liao. Great work!"
