I apologize if this is old news, but I've only just picked up the February
2000 issue of Motorsport, the British monthly. The cover story is a
comparison between the Eagle-Westlake T1G and the Lotus 49. There are a lot
of new photos and contemporary driving impressions. Four pages of text, six
pages of photos.
"[The Eagle] is perhaps the most beautiful Grand Prix car ever built. From
the curl of its exhaust to the aquiline jut of it's nose, this car is as
close to perfect in proportion and line as I have known a Formula One car to
be. And when it's 3-liter, quad-cam, 48-valve motor fires up, you discover
it sounds even better than it looks."
In the same issue is an eight page story about the Nurburgring, again with
many lovely photos.
Finally, in the editors column, GPL is mentioned as "the most thoroughly
researched, brilliantly conceived and thrilling PC game I have ever played."
