GPL and overclocking / F1RS car sets

by Uwe Schuerka » Sun, 27 Sep 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

before I overclocked my amd k6-200 to 225 mhz (75mhz bus instead
of 66 mhz) I managed a comfortable 1:36.5 at the Monza demo track.
Now, I can barely crack the 1:40 barrier, throwing the car around
the track like a madman (I'm driving the lotus gp). Does anyone
know what's wrong here?

On another note I'd like to ask you f1rs experts a question: a
colleague and mine battle each other using ghostlaps, currently
on the nuerburgring. Would it impose a speed bhp penalty if
someone used the 98 car set or does the player car in f1rs always
feature the same power curve, as it used to be in GP2?

Thanks in advance for any info,

Uwe

Recalibrate?

Each teamcar in F1RS has its own specification. So the Forti is much
slower as the Ferrari, for example.

There are editors around, where you can change these settings.

Make sure you recalibrate your steering.  The faster bus speed affects
your game port.
