Decided to pick up the game since the demo really impressed me.

Pros:
-Graphics are easily the best of any rally game I've seen. The bump
mapping on the ice racing tracks is simply jaw dropping. Textures and
environment objects looking more real than ever. The environment being
raced in is very impressive looking.
-This one was huge for me - No invisible walls on the side edges of the
track. You can actually venture a good 50ft or so off the course and
still race. This allows for some interesting cutting of corners. It
tends to get bumpy or has rocks so staying on course is still the best
route most of the time but its sooooo nice not having a 1 foot high
ditch magically hold back the car like so many other games. Its fun
taking berms and jumping a corner now and then too.
-Decent balanced driving fun. Not totally accurate for *** simer
but not totally arcade either. The many different car setup options do
make a difference in handling so one can, with a fair bit of test time,
make a car handle how they want.

The game could be better:
-no***pit view
-car damage is visually minimal
-can only race 3 other cars at once
-not enough jumps
-many tracks are simply other tracks in reverse
-minimal environment interactivity - no water, mud, snow drifts to
splash through
-no weather efx
-way too many cars with little noticeable difference between them

All true but my biggest problem with RSC is that there is no public server
browser.

does anyone know if the sequel to Rally Trophy will be playable
over the net, and if so, how many players will the game support
simultaneously? Will it have a public server browser that is
open in its protocols?

Thanks,

uwe
