My goodness, this is one of the greatest racing games I've ever played and
BY FAR the best Rally game I've ever played! Awesome! Anyone else get this
game for their Xbox (if you have one)?

My cousin brought it down this weekend. I didn't like it. The tracks were
too flat, smooth and boring. There was no sense of being there; the
visuals didn't shake, rattle or roll (much).

Rally Trophy kept us more entertained, by far.

Agree 100%.  The most amazing console racer ever made.....and I've owned GT3
since it came out last year.  The attention to detail is breathtaking.

I rented it , and am still deciding how much I like it. So far I like the
visuals, I really do not see the excessive jaggies that I have read about in
some reviews, it looks fairly clean with some minor jaggies, certainly less
than in GT3. The sense of speed is excellent. The physics model is a decent
midpoint balance between sim and arcade, leaning more towards arcade than
GT3 does. overall a very good game, but not great. Certainly the best racer
on the Xbox so far, and worth a rental to decide if you like it. My biggest
complaint is that it is too hard to control with a joystick, you will
initially find yourself weaving back and forth across the track, until you
adjust to the touchy controller. This game screams for a steering wheel,
preferably a force feedback one , if one existed.

I guess we both have bad copies of the game.  I don't see the jaggies
either.  I've seen reviews that seem to indicate this game has the same
visual appeal as Night Driver on the Atari 2600.  This is one amazing
looking game far above that of GT3.

I don't enjoy rally games, but I must say that Rallisport doesn't turn me
off entirely.  It's just how I like a console racing game.  A relaxed
physics model, great sense of speed, good looking and an emphasis on fun.
Realism is always good in a game, but I don't necessarily think it needs to
be emphasized on a console.  If you like rally racing, then you should enjoy
this game.

Then I suppose that raises the question of what wheels (if any) does the
xBox support, and does RalliSport Challenge support a wheel?

I'd have to disagree there.  F355 is by far the best console racer
ever made (nothing else in the same league).

Is Rallisport the game made by DICE?  They were the developers who did
Rally Masters, and based on my initial impression from playing the
Rallisport demo I'm guessing it's using a similar engine.

Thrustmaster and Madcatz both make wheels for the Xbox, but they use
rumble effects rather than force feedback.  Since all the Xbox driving
games that I have seen so far support analog steering, throttle, and
brakes, I see no reason to believe that a wheel would not work with any
of them.
