Corrupted track pack.

by Joao Verle » Mon, 07 Aug 1995 04:00:00

I have a problem with my Indycar Extended Pack. The Elkhart Lake track seems
to be corrupted since the game crashes always at the same point in the
track, it does not happen to any other track.

Could anybody send me this track, so I could overwrite my files and see if
the problem is solved?

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is one more thing. Anybody knows how to change the sound mode of
Nascar Racing to FM instead of digital?

Thanks,

Hi Joao:

Sorry, I don't have Indy Car racing, but I have talked to other users
who have also have had problems with Elkhart Lake.  Since this
is the longest track in Indy Car, it takes up a LOT of memory (more so
than the other tracks in the sim).  How much RAM do you have?  This
could be a memory problem rather than a corrupt file...

As for NASCAR, for FM sound, add -f to your startup command, for
example "C:\NASCAR\NASCAR -F"

Joao,

Elkhart Lake is the longest course and requires 8 MB of RAM on your
machine to run(at least). If your on a slow machine with only 8MB of
RAM, it might crash also.
