My mouse keeps locking up while  I'm creating a new driver or while I'm
calibrating my wheel/pedal setup.
I did find a link on Alison Hines website in her readers FAQ but unfortunatly
it was broken.
Has anyone else experienced this because I'm finding it a bit frustrating
I run a microsoft wheel/pedals a monster 3d II graphic accel  and matrox mill
grahic card
Many thanks in advance

Stuart,
I had the same problem, and what I did to fix it was to download the newest
Voodoo2 drivers (with Glide 2.56) and it works great now.  Go to:
                http://www.3dfx.com/home.html
and download the drivers and see if it helps you also. :-)
            Good luck!

What sound card are you using?

If it's a Vortex2-based card (Diamond MX300, for example), try putting a
check mark for Disable  DirectSound Hardware Accleration option on it's
control panel.

Try selecting "Direct Input" rather than "Generic" as you
joystick driver.  If you find that you can't start the game without
the whole program slowing down, try erasing your default player's
controls.cfg.  Then go back to step 1.

Sounds like the ole "put the glide2x.dll version 2.53 or 2.56 file in the
gpl root directory to get rid of that damn menu screen locking when I move
my mouse" thing.

While on the subject,  I remember seeing somewhere a program to clean out
Windows game controllers calibration settings,  implying that it doesn't do it
very well by itself.   Does anyone know where this program can be found ?
