Sound Card Dilemna

I am still trying to have a custom system built and through various
problems and dilemmas am considering an IWill VD-133 Motherboard. PIII
500, 128 RAM, 13 Gig HD, VooDoo3 3000. The only problem is we can't get
a SBLive card to work. Has anyone had a similar problem? A fix? The tech
guys say something about the front side bus at 133 causing the problem
but it may be little bit beyond my tech understanding.

I also have heard nothing but great things about the improvements the
SBLive can have on a system and I have one now in an older system so
really want to stick with something I know. I would be open to trying a
different card but haven't heard about a card that compares.

I know the sound card threads are getting very old but any help
concerning this specific issue would be much appreciated.

Well Larry, I didn't catch the bus speed part in the e:mail you sent me.
There is no reason to run a 133 fsb. Those guys should know that.

just go with monster sound , much better in my opinion

If it's a pc133 designed system, 133 should not be the problem. Try
swapping the card to different slots, this often solves the problem
(using different interrupts)
