ACT LABS RS PEDAL STICKING PROBLEM

by Cuff » Sun, 27 Dec 1998 04:00:00

Hi there I have just got a new ACT LABS RS wheel and pedal set from Santa
and the accelerator pedal is very sticky it some times sticks down and
overall feels very unsmooth, has anyone else got this set and had the same
trouble? would like to hear from you because I love the wheel just shame
about the pedals.

ACT LABS RS PEDAL STICKING PROBLEM

In one of the reviews I saw, the reviewer said
that putting some vaseline on the pedals got rid of the
sticking.

I agree about the pedals.  Because of the stickiness and lack
of split axis, I am using a set of homebuilt pedals with my
RS wheel.  If ACT Labs could make the pedals a hair smoother,
and add split-axis capability, the RS would be perfect!

Just to follow up - I got this email from cuffy, who had
good luck with the vaseline tip.  He had originally asked
the question about sticking RS pedals.  Hope he doesn't
mind me posting it!

> Hi there got your e mail, thanks heaps this seems to have fixed the problem
> I will know be able to play GPL with nice smooth pedals.

<snip>

I would suggest using something like lithium grease over vaseline.
