Boy, if you restrict their potential market with some of these
"un-features", this is going to be one expensive piece of software :-)

A troll thread, eh? I'll answer all the same.

I'd like to see all of these in there. Sure, I won't use half of them, but
if they help sell more games to NeedForSpeeders and bring the price down for
the rest of us then so be it. You could always turn em off in the server
options.

Wow.

You really are the greatest, most hard core sim racer that ever existed.
There is no doubt of that now. Every day I wake up wishing I could be like
you.

I think my new nickname for you will be Nostalgia Car Nazi. Great idea to
have no mdern F1 cars in the game. Eliminate modern F1 which is neck and
neck with football (soccer) worldwide in popularity even while there is no
evidence that there is any market whatsoever for historic auto sims. No
NASCAR cars is a good idea too, that way you can insure three people in the
U.S. (me being one) will buy the sim.

There's something I'm going to leave you with to think about, although
people who live in denial and need medication rarely ever see sense.

If I had a time machine and MS's 2002 Ferrari, and went back to '67, '75,
'88, or any other year......if I took it to any group of mechanics,
engineers, and drivers in any series........if I let them see, touch,
tinker, and drive it.........there jaws would be on the ground, their eyes
would have to be jammed back into their skulls, and they would permanently
trash whatever car they were working on (and probably hand over their wives)
in a millisecond in exchange for MS's car.

Go drink your Metamucil.

Then, after the thing died in a couple hundred miles (many of the components
are designed to last 1 race) and they didn't have any of the equipment
required to fix it, they'd go back to the cars they could actually drive.

I fully and wholeheartedly agree with those 7 points.

They get all the parts and equipment they need. If I have a time machine, I
can get them anything.

agree

only in replays

It's annoying getting beat by someone with a joystick, but we don't need to
exclude people not serious enough to get a wheel

Yes, actually, I hate driver aids even in cars that use it. I never use
traction control in F1 sims.

I think they should have an add-on for this.

No real need to, I wouldn't imagine the WSC engine feeling THAT much better
than N2002

Why not have them?

I think there should be one for novices, it will drive the price down

What the hell is wrong with karts?

Is this feasable for a rally add-on? I'd LOVE REAL rally stages being a
rally enthuisiast and going to rallies since I was 6, but that might be a
bit too much to ask for just an add-on

Why the hell not? It's nice just to enjoy driving the cars, especially if
the physics are good. I don't always feel like racing idiots.

Maybe, but it would be a good idea to be able to move around the***pit
view, like zoom in or out or move it slightly left or right for people's
tastes, like in SODA Off-Road Racing.

Agreed, I shit on anyone who would try to pirate it!

I don't like racing against AI, but for a quick race it's good. What's wrong
with AI?

Thanks,
Alex

There's an awful of of r.a.s. regulars who openly pirate games here. Just
curious, is it ok to pirate some games, but not others?

Hehe, if I had a time machine, I'd travel back a week or so and buy a few
winning lottery tickets :)

Well, let's say you have Delta Force Land Warrior (I dont play Delta Force
btw) and you want to try out Task Force Dagger to see if it's a stupid
mission pack capitalizing on 9/11 or a good game, I don't care if the person
pirates it. Well, really, for that game, I have a m***objection that they
make a crappy product just to try to make money off a tragic event.
Anyway...

I think for online racing a similar protection that N2002 has would be good
for stopping piracy.

There's no reason to pirate RL, it should be of high quality and there
should be a demo, definitely a sim that I'd proudly display the box.

Thanks,
Alex

There was us thinking the West's project was ambitious. Good luck Dave!
I shan't be signing up as a beta tester mind you :-)

In a way.. if a game has a good demo (a demo that gives just as many
fps as the final version, which is mostly not the case), a demo that
offers for example the full physics and not only 'arcade mode' or ***
like that,  then there is no reason to download a warez version to
test it.

Hehe, he must not like seeing all those options in the menus, I know how
annoying i can be to have to move a mouse over the ABS button :p

Here's my attempt at a troll:  Anybody who posts that and really believes it
should be disqualified from having children do to the potential for
emotional trauma they would have to endure.
