F1RS & FF wheel-it works!

by Hector Jimene » Wed, 18 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I just got my hands on the Ultimate Per4mer FF wheel + pedals.
F1RS (with 1.07 patch) worked with the FF wheel right out of the box.
The FF wheel is a huge improvement over my old Per4mer wheel. There
is, however, plenty of room for improvement. All the vibration effects
off the
road and during collisions are nice but don't add much to the driving
experience.
The best thing about the wheel is the positive and tight feel in
straights and turns.
There was an immediate improvement on my lap times and a decrease on
spin-outs.
I understand that the wheel is being sold only at Software Etc. and
Computer City
in the US. After SC&T fills all orders with them, wider distribution
will begin.

I will  give a more detailed review at a later time.

Great news. Thanks for that Hector. Especially good to know it is
functional to the point of better control and lap times. Look forward to
further comments from you.
