I usually only like NASCAR games, but I tried the demo for this and it seems
like a fun game, plus the *tons* of great comments about it made me really
want to try it out.
The thing is that I can't seem to find it where I live, could it possibly be
in a 'bargain bin' where most older games can be found? I don't buy
computer games that often so I have no idea where to try..

At least in Europe, it is constantly being re-released under various budget
labels. The latest incarnation is in the "Sold-out Software" series, which
seems to also include the (absolutely vital) patches right on the CD.

You've already made a mistake: GPL is no game. Further many would
not call it fun. Especially if you don't like to drive in the grass.
With a lot of practice, this sim is absolutely amazing.
I live in T.O. Canada and always see boxed copies available at "Office
Place". You have that store where you live?
