I just wanted to post this for anyone considering buying a graphics card that
supports 3dfx.  I had been using the Intergraph Intense 3d with the Voodoo Rush
chip with F1RS and like everyone else, had a few minor problems with the cursor
and had to turn off replays and some other graphic options.  I ordered a
Canopus Pure 3d and had to wait awhile to get it because they are back-ordered.
Man, I can see why!  I installed the Pure 3d after taking out the Intergraph
card and fired up my F1RS.  I have a new liking for this sim now!  I am able to
run with replays on and practically every graphic option that I want turned on
and the game as smooth as could be, and I don't experience the first corner
jerking anymore either, and yes I have installed the patch.  I have no reason
to promote this product, I just wanted to help anyone out there considering
buying a card to consider this one because I know that there are many options
out there in graphics cards and I had a heck of a time deciding which one to
buy.  While I was waiting for it to get here I still was wondering if I made
the right decision but I know now that I sure did!  This thing totally ROCKS!
Hope this helps someone.  Jeff

I ordered one this past weekend, really looking foward to giving it a try,
also is my first 3dfx card. I've been running the Sierra screamin 3d
rendition card , and am pleased with it, but now will have my choice of
both.

A voodoo RUSH runs fine with ALL details on, including graphics, make
sure you have 32mb ram, and a 200mmx though.

Its more likely to be the Voodoo chipset (as opposed to Rush) than the
specific board. F1RS runs fine on my orchid righteous 3D (although the
Pure3D would probably be slightly better).

That may be true, but my Pure3D runs fine with all details on, including
graphics, on a P133. (I may have exaggerated a bit, with 21 cars around
it does slow appreciably).

I havent gotten the slowdown, only once, at Monaco, but then, every
slows down for the hairpin....dont we? :-)

I turned the replays off yesterday, but I didnt notice a lot of
difference....it might help with slower chipsets i.e. less than 200...
Apparently 233s run real nice........sigh
