Still get runtime error in GTR

Okay........I have tried EVERYTHING suggested here and on the simbin forum
to rectify this. nada. I can run the game from GTrun but no other way. I
would like to try a championship and I have been reading about people
changing some options in the pre-game menu........I'd really like to see it.
Is anyone else still stuck with the runtime problem after trying everything

Anything else you need to know ??

Same here - last I checked FlyingCamel was working on the fix, but I
don't know the status.
I used a manual edit of my .PLR file to get in the game, but I think
there's more adjustments the pre-loader does, since once in a race the
AI agressiveness seems too high (lots of spinouts).

changing desktop from 32 to 16bit did it here

    I'm running 32 bit desktop and 32 bit in the mod without any graphic
problems.  DId you get the error because your desktop was 32 bit but you
were running the mod at 16bit?
  Just curious.  FWIW..the menues are 32 bit artwork...the car selection
screens looked funny til I changed over to 32bit.

No time to test - must keep playing ;)...

Actually - I had the mod at 32bit, and with the desktop at 32bit (in
XP Pro, 40.72 dets) I got the runtime error.  Changing the desktop to
16bit, with the mod still at 32 worked for me.

Glad I brought my PC to a friend's lake house for the weekend - even
with a joystick the GTR mod kicks more ass than a (insert geeky
VoodooExtreme/HardOCP joke here)...
