TPTCC... Runtime error

by Pete Panai » Fri, 16 Jan 2004 12:16:38

I just did a fresh install of NR2003, applied the "Official patch version
1.1.0.2".Then I installed "TPTCC2003_v1.3". And then "TPTCC2003_v2.1". When
I try to run the program it gets to the NR2003 splash screen, then Wham! To
the desktop we go and an error window is there saying...

"Runtime Error  - Program C:\Games\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\NR2003.exe
R6025 - Pure virtual function call"

The Computer...
Duel PII 400, 256 meg ram

Video card...
GeForce2 GTS 64 meg.

Video driver...
Version 53.03

Can anyone offer any insight?
Thanks,

This isn't a direct answer, but it has been an issue with other sims when installing
mods.
Did you test each step of the installation process?  Did you install and run the
original sim, then install the patch and test that, then install v2.1?

The official patch from Papy/Sierra that you need is 1.2.0.1
That's why it doesn't work for you.

Yep, well spotted indeed! That did the trick! Thank for catching that Carl!
Oh, and thank you too Dave. I did all the installs one after the other the
1st time with out testing as I went. This time I tested each step! >;)

I do now however have another new little problem...
For some reason when I try to run a multiplayer on my LAN I get different
cars in the race for the two human players. My friend and I are Ford GT fans
and wanted to run 2 GULF Ford GT's like a team at Lemans. I made sure that
on both machines in the Player Info that we both had the Ford GT selected.
But when we get into the game we are in Mustangs every time!
Damn... I'm confused again <%)

Did you select the Ford GT as multiplayer car?
Go to the player page and select the multiplayer "circle", and then make
sure it's a Ford that's spinning on the screen.

Cheers!
:)
