Voodoo 3 and GPL question (Banshee owners will understand)

With GPL, there is the well known problem when running in high resolutions
with a Banshee card. It ruins all the textures.
Is this problem present with the V3?
Afterall it is 3DFX 2D/3D card (Banshee2?)

Just wondered because my V3 should arrive in a week or so.
