A friend just told me about the Voodoo banshee card. Does anyone have
(positive or negative) experience with it in GPL??

I've got a Quantum Raven AGP Banshee, and it's fine. 640 x 480 with
everything on except Speculative highlights.

The Voodoo Banshee is a very good VideoCard for GPL, although now
superseded by the Voodoo3

ditto...have no problems with mine altho i have locked up a few times
mainly from i suspect...a heat problem associated with my card since i
have it overclocked up a bit.......when it does this...it sends me into
another video mode that i dont have and the screen goes all small and in
some form of mode that my monitor doesnt support....but other than
that....it runs great.

I used to suffer screen locks every now and then, but a change of
drivers did the trick. It even works without the Glide2x-patch found
at various places. If you want, I can check the glide2x.dll version
and tell you what I'm using.

I have a negative experience, i replaced bunhsee with a V3 2000

1. GPL: Voodoo 2 vs. Voodoo Banshee

2. Anyone using VOODOO BANSHEE with GPL????

5. GPL: Cry Havoc, and let slip the Voodoo Banshee

6. Voodoo 3 and GPL question (Banshee owners will understand)

8. GPL: V2 SLI vs. Banshee...Banshee wins?

9. GPL + Voodoo 3 and N3 + Voodoo 3 = Fun!
