Problem with MS FF wheel

by Student, T.U.E » Tue, 12 Jun 2001 18:12:09

Hi,

Ive got a small problem with my MS FF wheel.
Every time i start up my PC and I start a racing game my pedal is stuck on
full throttle. When i go to the settings menu of my game controllers the
picture of the MS FF shows indeed that the right pedal is down, but in
reality it is not.
The only way to solve this problem is to pull the plug of the wheel from the
power socket and put it back in again. Everything works fine then, till I
shut down the PC.

I thought it was a driver problem or something, but I just formatted my HD
and did a fresh install of winme and the latest drivers but that did not
solve the problem. So i suspect it is a hardware problem. Anyone else had
this problem??

Any solutions??

Greets,

Pat.

Greetings;

I've a MS Sidewinder - non force feedback USB wheel and occaisionally have
the same problem.  A small blip of the throttle is all that's needed for me
tho.

Willard.

Check the lead between the pedals and the wheel, check it's in all the way
at both ends.

I find in some games I need the sidewinder profiler running in the task bar
for the wheel to work the way I want - particualrly if I want separate axis
for brake and accelerate - currently I need to do this for CMR2, although I
think it was OK before?

how'd you get CMR2 to recognize separate axis?  everything went
pear-shaped when I tried that with my Formula Force GP-wheel.
