to other video formats?

You can't convert them directly to movie files because they don't
contain any graphic data. They just say where the car is at any given
time and additional stuff like that.

As the other poster said, you need GPL2avi or moviestudio XP.

I've been there, but I want a Demo to try before laying out cash for this
thing.

Aren't most of these just screen frame grabbers? They don't actually
convert the replay, right?

MovieStudio XP is free is you bothered to read.........
Nothing will just convert replays, they have to be captured while the replay
is playing. Those replays are just data that the game interprets and shows
visually. There is no other way to create videos from your GPL replays

Gotta say, tried them both and they both do nothing but crash my win98
machine.

The replays have no graphical data in them at all. The only way you can
get a movie from them is to play it through GPL and use a frame grabber
to extract the output to an avi file. Or film it off the TV with a
camera. Or maybe get an expensive video convertor card to grab in realtime.

Here's the funny thing...

The Macintosh version of Nascar Racing has the ability to convert replays
into QuickTime movies, right in the game itself.

that site. Every indication is you have to PAY for it until you get to the
actual 'store', where it is marked as free.

I guess that's NR2003 then, since I didn't discover that option in NR2k2
for Mac, must say.
