I currently have a Intergraph Intense 3D w/Rendition V1000 chip. I was
wondering what goes on if I install a Monster 3D add in card. Will my
Nascar2 and ICR2 still use the Rendition chip. I want the 3DFX chip for
Quake and a few other games. How does this work? Can I have my cake, and
eat it too?

Yes, you can have your cake and eat it to :) Personally, I almost went this
route, but I'm waiting for the Voodoo2 chip to come out. Then I'll have my
cake and wear it, throw it, dance in it, make love in it, etc. and eat it
too (not necessarily in that order). So, in a drawn out fashion, Yes.. the
Monster 3D is very friendly with other video cards. Just install and away
you go. The M3D will let everything pass through it unless it is 3DFX
specific or Direct 3D. No problems with ICR2 or N2.

I have a diamond monster 3dfx card and I don't have any problems running
either Nascar or ICR2 but why the hell won't papyrus release a version
of either (or even N2 ) for the 3dfx chipset - everyone knows that the
rendition is an inferior card - even to what I have - but they still
won't acknoweledge it! I can't understand why - it's not like they
couldn't make money out of it! (and let's face it - what else do they
want?)
