They also didn't give CPR the best review, it got a 79%.  But what
astonishes me, is not one of the reviews in the mags I read have mentioned
that this "simulator" didn't have yellow flags, random weather, realistic
AI, or control.  I think some of them have mentioned frame rate once or
twice.

In its latest issue I think.  They were reviewing F1RS and commented
that MS CPR was unjustly trashed in USENET.  BTW, they really liked
F1RS--think it got a 90 rating.

LOL.

Who wrote the article ? Can you please tell us his e-mail ?  I think that
most of us had some good reasons to trash C:PR.  Sure some people went over
the line, but the bad words are justified by a bad game IMHO.

The worst thing that they done was to hype the product at that point.  I
think Microsoft's C:PR road has soo many bad things that it's funny at the
end.  Let's see...

Remember the Beta CD's of C:PR. They told us that the first50 would have the
game only. But it appeared on more sites than we tought, and we had to fill
something also. I think the answers to them (like "Witch browser do you
use") had an impact on who got it and who didn't.

Or maybe all those PR people who went here and got trashed.  It took some
time before they said they would work on a patch.   All the hype for the
track editor, who finally went online the day I woke up the r.a.s. people
about it.

The Glide patch who was intentionally hidden from us so we would have to use
D3D instead.

There is too many of them to list, I'm sorry.

That happens all the time, esp. with sim reviews. In a German mag
Longbow2,
to most sim heads a jewel, received only a luke warm review. In
contrast,
CPR received a seperate review booklet with all the marketing hoopla.

Get your sim reviews on USENET from proven, reliable sources...

LOL, anyone know why 2 trolls come here at the same time ? (Mr. Mak and
him).

Btw, why are you on the USENET Mr.Not ? Isn't the Usenet supposed to be a
way to discuss your opinions.  We all know here (and it's a fact proven
since many years) that PC Magazine's racing reviews aren't always very
neutral, and tend to mislead many "rookies", in a search of a realistic or
arcade racing title.

Most of them are influenced by numbers of factors. Those reviewers normally
aren't really some hard-core SimRacers, but all-around game lovers who have
a limited knowledge of racing physics.

I can recall only Randy Magruder, who IMHO is the only trustful website/PC
Magazine reviewer (well, maybe with Mrs. Allison also).  Each of them have a
very good knowledge in racing simulators.

But Mr. Not, what do you know about racing simulators ? For the second time
I ask you what are your present and pass racing experience, virtual or in
real life.  Maybe you should lurk a little bit more here and read the FAQ,
it's seems that troll aren't very well accepted (for very obvious reasons).

Not that I'm against you, people can change, I really understand that.  I'm
the type of people who gives a second chance to many people.  It's up to you
to show that you have your own valid opinions and thoughts here about racing
simulators (this is still rec.autos.simulators, not alt.flame).

Hey not, can you show us how you be not?
