When you say converter, is that a resistor or is it a dongle of some
sort that switches a couple leads around in the joystick port/cable? I
have a set of pedals (CH Pedals) that I want to use with this wheel.
Can I reroute a couple pins on the joystick cable to run along this
axis for Win 95? Needless to say I am quite a rookie at this, and need
a little coaching. Much thanx.

Can you give me an idea as to what this converter looks like/does? Is
it a dongle at you plug into your joystick cable coming off the T2 to
reroute a couple signals on along different axes of the gamecard port?
Is it a resistor to block a signal to the port? Does anyone have a
schematic that I could take a look at/download to try to simulate
this? Any info would help, as I am quite a rookie to say the least.
Much thanx.

I too have a homemade wheel.  I used a cable from a Suncom joystick and
went to thier website (url unknown do search) for the pinout.  I then
determined which wire's I needed to use and simply added another pot on
those wires.  Win-95 no longer tells me that my joystick is improperly
connected when I have my wheel attached.
Did you work  your stearing shaft straight onto the pot???  I had mine
that way and really hated it.  Eventually added some gears, from a
differential set for an RC car, and I LOVE this.  I have over 540 degrees
of total rotation available to me.  I calibrate about 270 degrees and it
works great.  It's also easier on the pots and I don't have to replace them
as often.  More of a hassle to do so though. ;-)

   Good Luck
