Home-made Wheel

Anybody else out ther made there own wheel? I just finished mine and while
there is room for improvement it is miles ahead of my old T1. I only did the
wheel and button shift so far and am curious how others have undertaken the
pedals. My biggest question is about setting the brake and acceleration on
different axes. Can you simultaneously accelerate and brake with this setup?
Any callibration problems with ICR2 or NASCAR? How difficult is it to set up
the pots for the pedals so that they are recognised properly?

I converted an old Alfa Romeo sportscar steering wheel and attached up
and down gear shift buttons.
I use a Roland volume pedal as accelerator and a sustain pedal (on/of
switch) for braking (both pedals are from my Roland synthesizer, but
can be purchased separately). The range of the accelarator pot works
fine with F1GP.  I don't know whether it would work with NASCAR?

Once I've replaced the on/off breaks with a pot (another volume pedal
with a spring release) this will be a perfect setup.

For the answers to these questions and more tune-in to "Wally's World of
