n3 force feedbakc dies partway thru race. HELP

subject pretty much says it all, so i'll reiterate here :).
when running races, after about 15-30 min, i loose all force feedback
& centering (logitech winman ff USB).  i can exit the game, go to ctrl
panel, reset everything and it sometimes works, other times (mostly) i
have to reboot to get it back.  this seems to have started with the
latest patch.  any ideas as to fixing it?  kind of a pain to have to
keep exiting races and returning to them.  and it ALWAYS happens in a
corner.  real weird to have the wheel just go slack at the apex of a
190+ mph turn.  first time i thought wow, broken steering linkage, how
cool :) (NOT)

thanks
amwak

My Guillemot $80-special Raceleader wheel has centering resistance
regardless of whether FF is enabled in a specific game.

yes if you use I-Force Drivers....

it's not a problem then :))

Try these settings and see if it still does it:
In the LWFF profiler set the strength sliders to 100%. Disable
'centerin' by unchecking it (you can do this for N3 only if you create a
profile for it...or edit an existing profile for it).

In N3.ini   put these numbers in:
FORCE_SCALE_PERCENT 100
FORCE_DAMPING_PERCENT 90

I had the same problem but it has went away since using these settings.
I'm wondering if the amount of FF was too high and it was overheating...
Anyway... Not saying you have to like these settings.. just try them and
see if it cures loss of FF. There might be a happy medium.

Good luck,
Alan
