Hey all,
There's a lot of talk about GP4 in here, as well as a lot of sarcasm :)
So, plain and simple.. should I be getting GP4 or stick with F12002?

Thanks guys!

If you want frustration in a box, get GP4.. If you want endless ours of no hassle
enjoyment and the mods that will soon be coming thick and fast, get F1 2002.

If you like pivotpoint physics, with no tirewear etc, then get GP4 or Colin
McRae,
If you like GPL, and Nascar 4, then get F1 2002.

Do you have GP3? Do you plan to stick with W98 for a while longer? If so,
stick to GP3 and wait for a GP4 demo to be released. Or download the full
version off the net and use that as a demo. Opinions vary so much for this
game noone can really tell you if you want it or not, you'll just have to
test for yourself.

As for my personal opinion (in case you managed to miss my other posts). GP4
= updated graphics, animated pit crew, little else that GP3 didn't already
offer. No safety car. No stop-go or drivethrough penalties. AI controlled
cars will happily race you when you're on a qualifying hotlap while they
just drove out of the pits. It's just like GP3.

This is with cars only option in mirrors (gpl has the same option).

Quite a big help with fps plus it makes the mirrors more useable if you
use the T-Cam view.

God I dislike the pivot-point physics in CMR2. Thanks for giving it a name,
I always described it as though "the car just has a wheel in the middle..
and the others are fake

Yeah, I understand that now.. but I still don't understand why the car in
the rear view mirror is pointing the opposite direction as the field..

Well, try and understand why the players car is facing the wrong way,
and apply the same logic to the car in the mirror.

There, wasn`t so hard was it?

I presume that is the car that "Alesi" took out as he span out, and that car
has ended up facing the wrong way in the gravel trap. I also hope that the
graphics have been set to only show cars, and no other details - thus an
explanation for that?

I think so cos that "driver aid" that shows the cars as yellow dots from a
birdseye view, shows a car in the gravel trap.

Strange they did the screen shots without full graphics on, or maybe they
weren't done then.

So, an AI car decided to follow the person while he turns around to take a
screenshot?
