Perhaps there is an upside. While GPL is without peer as far as
simulators go,
it does seem that the people who can't come to terms with the sim (90%
of
people who bought and/or reviewed the sim) do not like it!!!

Hopefully by shoveling a repackaged product with minor updates and new
paint jobs (requiring little is any real programing work) a good cash
flow
will result.

In otherwords those without a clue can end up finacing to good stuff for

the hard core racers. Jane's has been doing this for some time. USNF was

a very general sim that let them do F-15, a very hard core sim. WWII
Fighters a general (survey) sim and next is A-10.

We have GPL. That can not be taken away. And with a track converter
in the works, lots of tracks to run on.

Papyrus is owned by Sierra, But we have our man inside, Mr.Kaemer!!
Let's wait to see what "his" next project will be.

And I'm glad that papy does still support it by developing a patch that
looks promising,
GPL coupled with GPaL can provide enough e***ment for at least another
year,  i don't think we need another sim soon...

Really. The physics model is great and all, but if I want to drive
around in a vehicle with bad tires and no downforce, one of my
personal cars will do fine. The force feedback kicks ass, too.

What I don't understand about all this N2000=N2: why does Papyrus wait
so long before releasing it? I mean, if it's a another revamped version
of N2, why wait so long? Why not combine N1999 and N2000? I'm sure there
won't be that much of a difference. When you look at the first avi, the
way the cars handle doesn't seem to me like it was a N2 clone... Maybe
it's a Papyrus mind game or part of hype machine. Remember GPL and the
Ferrari license? I remember people saying that they would not buy the
game unless the Ferrari was in the game...

It's supposed to have a new graphics engine as well as updated
physics. And force feedback. Doesn't sound half-bad if you think about
it.
