Excellent film.  I actually felt more emotionally involved watching it
this time around (since GPL) than I could recall in the past.  Seeing
Monaco like that was brilliant.  Mind you, Spa was a bit of a let down.
It was easy to see how slow the cars were really going from the in-car
shots.  All-in-all though, very enjoyable.

They were driving F2 cars in the movie Peter.

And the Ferraris were not Ferraris, but other cars painted red. Indeed,
there were all manner of cars cobbled together as a field in the film.

Yeah,  I remember someone mentioning that before.  However, the rest of
the racing footage seem to do a better job of concealing this fact.
Only at Spa does it appear more obvious.

Some of it is real race footage isn't it?  Mixed with actors in F2 cars.

Actually, I don't know if it's truth or urban legend but I was told
that tehre was an extensive campaign to have him nominated for an oscar
for best supporting actor.  (On account of him being graham hill not on
account of his acting abilities).  For poor acting by GP personel though,
you really have to see the "n days in summer" video by ford (where n is
a number less than 10 I forget exactly what).  Chapman and Duckworth
woodenly discussing the early design stages of the DFV engine.

I see your point Richard.  I mean, who could really fault him for his
performance.  Definitely the best Graham Hill I've ever seen in a film.
It was so real it was uncanny.  :)
