Still cant run GTR demo

Anyone got any ideas on this one. Installed the GTR demo a while ago and ran
it without any problem. But now for some reason it wont load, i can go all
the way through the menus and then it starts loading but just when i expect
to be on the circuit it gcrashes back to desk top. I know ive changed video
drivers since i originally installed but since the problem ive tried various
with no luck, ive also uninstalled and reinstalled the demo. Anyone got any
idea why this is. I have an athlon 2.4 with a radeon 9000 card.

Any help greatly appreciated

  Is your DirectX working properly?   Try looking at DxDiag and see if
your directx stuff is working.

have you tried using a driver cleaner to remove all versions of drivers.
check out http://www.omegadrivers.net/ for some good stuff if you are not
already familier with it.  Then use a older version of driver to start with.
I have radeon 9200 on XP system and ran into problems with the newest
drivers.  Cleaned registry and such using program mention earlier.
reinstlled older driver and all was well.

Thanks for the reply i havent used a driver cleaner and never have as im no
expert on these things. Any advice on what cleaner to use and where to get
it would be much appreciated.

Ive tried changing drivers etc again but still no joy, anyone else got any
ideas

Ive just tried with the settings for the demo set to low and it now goes
past the menu screens and put me on the circuit, only problem now is the car
comes out all psycadelich and multi coloured. if i turn any other graphics
back on it wont go past menu. all that happens is the red line goes along
bottom of the screen but doesnt reach race it just drops back to desk top
near the end

In GPL under options what graphics settings are you using.  Fir my radeon
9200 I use a add on Direct 3d7 driver option.  Let me know and i can send
you a copy of it.
Any other games causing problems?
Did you run the driver uninstaller I sent you (or at least tried to)?

  GPl seems okay now it is just the GTR demo causing problems, i used the
driver cleaner and as ras as im aware it worked fine
