I currently have a setup that'll run 196.5+  Haven't been able to
break 197 as of yet but I did get this setup off the net. Just cant
remember where,  anyway the point is get every setup you can find till
you find one that works for you. There are some really good ones out
there.  I think i may have gotten that setup at The Pits but dont hold
me to it.

Are you running in the draft or by yourself?  It does make somewhat of
a differrence.

What temperature (weather) are you at? Most setups on the net are
designrd for 120 degrees. Set 4th gear to 3.5. Play around with your
rear bias setting. Max your shocks and tire pressures. Do that and work
on your line and you should be able to do at least 195-196 easy.
Bear in mind, this advice, and probably all the setups you'll find, are
designed for Multi. If your running the regular Nascar.exe yur speeds
will be lower.
I f you run away, follow the faster cars around and see what line they
are running.

Whoops. He was talking about N2 wasn't he? I haven't practiced that much
with N2, too busy practicing for Hawaii races. Please disregard my
ramblings.

Turn off steering help on the options screen.   I tried every setup
under the sun and was going crazy,  Then I found the steering help
turned on.  Turned it off and now can run high 195's to low 196's and
in the draft 197's..  Hope this helps..

What type controller are you using? Listen to the tires. You should be able
to go flat out with very little or no tire squeal.

Seems to me that the cooler the temps in N2, at least at Tal, the faster
you go. A good median temp would be 70 degrees. At 40 degrees you should
be hitting 196's.

Just did some quick testing if anyone wants to compare their Talladega
times. I use a Chevy and a full tank. Times are posted with the temps
next to them. No brake help.

As you can see the speeds are faster with the cooler temps and you
smoothness helps alot.

No. Keep it at 70. That is the accepted temp for speed comparisons. Turn
off Steering and Braking help, stay flat out never lift, keep tire squeal
to a minimum. You should hit 195 by lap 5 or 6.

Chuck:

Yep, so far its gonna be 70 again...  We can always do a special
group for 40 degrees people, but 70 should be the standard
