Screaming 3D Problems

by kevin parke » Sun, 15 Dec 1996 04:00:00

I got my Screaming 3D card installed and lost a 17" monitor. It worked
great for a while in Nascar2, A10 silent thunder and indycar 2. When I
loaded F22 Lightening from Micropose, the screen started flickering like
the MHZ setting was wrong. I ran setup on the game again and then my
monitor went BLACK!!!!!! The card is removed and I'm now using an old 14"
monitor until I can get my 17" repaired. I cannot recommend the card to
anyone until I find out if my monitor, card or F22 was the problem. I do
know I'll be sick if I have to buy a new monitor. BEWARE

Kevin,

I seriously doubt the card (or the game) was the culprit here.

Intergraph has a patch (a TSR, actually) for F22.  Works on my brother's
Reactor card AND my Screamin' 3D card.  Don't leave the hangar without
it.  What I don't understand is why this patch isn't on all
Rendition-based card Web sites and Novalogic's page.

Sorry for responding in the autos.sim newsgroup, but that's where I saw
this post.
