CAN'T CALIBRATE JOYSTICK IN NEED FOR SPEED SE

by Chuck » Thu, 07 Jan 1999 04:00:00

After installing NFSse I can go to the joystick calibration screen and
move the gear shifter all around the screen. Then I push a button to
save the calibration and nothing happens. I have to press escape to
get out of the calibration and it does not save the joystick
calibration.

I have tried both installations, Win95 & DOS. I have tried my
joystick which works in NFS2 & NFS3. I also tried my wheel that I use
in NASCAR2.  I emailed Electronic Arts about it a few days ago but
have not received a response.

This is the Electronic Arts CD-ROM Classics version of NFSse. Is there
any way to get it to work or should I just return it?

Thanks
Chuckie

Hi Chuckie,

For steering wheels use the DOS "joy???" program to calibrate first.
It's in the NFE-SE folder.

Jason.

No problem.  NFS is a great game but I stopped at NFS-SE.  Love
driving the Viper and Porche for there tail waggin' ways :)

I was exicted about Hard Truckin' hoping it might have oncoming traffic too
;)

I believe it doesn't have oncoming traffic, but if anyone knows for sure
please
correct me.
