F1C or Papy's Nascar 2003?

    Am in the mood for a new sim and have narrowed it down to these 2. A Few
questions.

    How many can race online in F1C and is online racing as good as papy
sims?

    Have heard of a few issues with NR2003 like RF tyre overheating (Papy
fudge??????),  ride heights, etc. Big deals?

    Looks like there are plenty of leagues for NR2003 and it's addons. Same
for F1C?

    From what I can see both have fantastic addons and a gazillion tracks a
peice! What do people think is the best way to go here?

The RF tire temperature bug is limited to the PTA physics using the
road course chassis and isn't a huge deal - people like Achiim Trensz
have been issuing track.ini tweaks that make it a non-issue.

There are leagues, but the multi is not nearly as good as NR2003 (it's
still quite good, but the lack of a dedicated server and general
instability caused a lot of people to abandon it early).

I'd personally get both.  N2003 is $10 via ebworld.com, and F1C is
$20.  For $30 you'd get 2 incredible sims.

    goodo.

    My decision is made :)

    Great advice up 'til this point Jason, but how are you to know I'm in
Australia. :) NR2003 is $50 - $65 and I stumbled upon F1C 99-2000 for $39 on
a KMart shelf. Can't import games from U.S. even if I didn't mind the wait
:(

    Cya on the track soon :)

I think there may be a period of time where both of these sims will be hard
to find and highly wanted as the best sims of their genre/series simulated.

Looks like F1C is already out of "print" and may be the last decent F1 sim
for a few years. NR2003 may also be considered the best sim of NASCAR for a
while (at least for on-line racing).

So, I would get both while you can still find them.

There aren't nearly as many online leagues for F1C compare to NR2003 as far
as I've seen, but there is a lot of online racing at www.f1rst2.com for F1C
and its many mods and tracks.

Is the dedicated server in NT2004 any good? (I'm guessing no)

Anyone managed to port it to F1C?

Speaking of which, does anyone know of an online U.S. source for F1C?  It
has been out of stock everywhere I have checked.

    Keeps the rioting down. :)

    Come to think of it, Convictland probably should be in the Guinness Book
of Records for most efficient jail ever. No one want's to escape!

F1C or Papy's Nascar 2003?

Speaking as someone who is involved in a league from easch game.
And as a avid player of both sims and their mods I think i could give a fairly good review.

ONLINE PLAY;
That would have to go to Papy's NR2003

EYE CANDY;
Althought the mod community is really starting to get things shakin for NR 2003, I would put
my money on F1C and it's mods. NR03 has a big problem with the mods, the players car sinks
into the track and the AI cars look as though they are 4 wheel drive. An unfixable problem.

CAR EDITING;
Without question it's gonna be NR 2003. The templates that are made available by the NR03
community are plentiful. With programs like Photoshop and Paintshop pro anyone can paint and import
with very little effort. Team cars in F1C simply put is a pain in the ass for a novice.
