(GPL) sounds

        I'm trying to put together a sounds package for GPL.  I have everything
set up to be the most accurate as possible.  The only thing wrong with
the GPL sounds is that some of them are played at the same volume no
mater where the car is in relation to the camera microphone.  I have
tinkered with all of them in various ways and came to some good
compromises.  but can't figure out these to know what and how to edit
them..

Hit_Hard.wav
Hit_Med.wav
Hit_Soft.wav

        I ran GPL and crashed as often as I could to see where/when these
sounds are used.  The best guess is hitting something at a slow pace for
Hit_Soft, and hitting something at a fast pace for Hit_Hard.  There are
times I hear these sounds but I don't think I should be hearing them at
those times. So, there is either some calculation to when they are heard
or special surcumstances.  Does anyone know specifically when they are
played?
