Athlon setups and GeForce compatibility

Hello All,

This might be a little off topic, but I am putting together two new
systems for some friends in our occasional LAN parties.  I have heard
that some people have had bad experiences with pairing Geforce based
cards with Athlon mobos.  Have any of you had similar problems or know
of this being remedied?  
I doubt the software that we plat matters that much, but the machines
will be running Win 98SE or Millenium and Qyake 3, NASCAR, Dirt Track
Racing, Rally, and UT.

I have an AMD 650 Athalon with a Geforce. No problems here.

Athlon setups and GeForce compatibility

There are compatibility problems with certain mobo's. Just make
sure that you buy a mobo with a KX133 chipset (Abit KA7, Asus
K7V, etc.) and you'll be fine. The mobo's which have the problems
all are based on the AMD750 chipset (like I have, I must run my
Geforce in AGP 1x mode to keep it from crashing).
