I have a PIII 450, Asus P2B, V3 3000, SBLive, LWFF and I get 18-19 fps in
Monza, 20th pos., all details maxed at 1280x1024. Not that I use these
settings, I set detail to half, only cars and track without textures in
mirrors at 800x600 and get 30-31 fps (about 2 fps lower at 1024x768). Fps
are more important than resolution, IMO.
So, this Athlon thingy is faster, but not the amount I thought it would be.
Would be interesting, if someone with a PIII 550 and the same other hardware
posted his results...
BTW, are your fps meant before everybody starts moving or are they the
lowest fps you get when the whole grid moves on? On my system the rate drops
6-7 fps for a few seconds just after the actual start.
