The Upgrade from 4 to 2002 was questionable enough, but I dont think this is
gonna cut it. Yea, it feels even better to drive and the AI is better, but
other than that its just a bunch of minor tweaks that I dont think it worth
shellin out another $50. Its almost like a mild *** habit the way
everyone feels obligated to buy the papy game with the biggest number on it.

Well I'll be buying it. Seeing as I race multiple times a week the $50 is a
small price to pay for the number of improvements it has over N2002. Funny
this sane discussion happened last year and once it was out it seems most
bought it.

If you trolling then good luck but no one is making anyone buy the upgrade.
Those that enjoy NASCAR racing will buy it, those that don't will not.

So did I, haven't regretted a second, well, for the "4" maybe, but not
2002, that was well worth it, and from what I've seen so far, and read,
2003 will find it's rightful place in my collection

Hmmmm.... twice in one week that I agree with Schooner. I'm not on *** and
I haven't been drinking, I must be getting soft :-)
This is the last of the Papy series, so it will be the one all the add-ons
are geared to from now 'til ........ (eternity?) I foresee it being
GPL-like in that respect; new car textures, photo-realistic dashboards - you
name it. In 2 years the hardware will catch up and should be able to run it
at 1600 x 32 with all the eye candy and FSAA anyone could want. Being the
last of the series may be a blessing as far as add-ons are concerned.
I think most Nascar sim fans will buy it when it's released, but those that
are happy with 2002 will probably wait until the price drops.
Look at it this way; even if the yellow flags and AI aren't perfect, they'll
be the best around for a Nascar sim for quite some time.

The N2003 demo that is going around is a leaked media beta demo. There are
known issues, bugs, and missing
features in the media demo. It seems lots of people think it's the release
demo. Just a heads up that it is NOT! The real thing is being worked on as
we speak.

$50? My god! where do you shop?? I remember NR2002 was $39.99 and the week
it was released it was on sale for $29.99. Then the $5 upgrade rebate
brings the total to $24.99.

Ummmm,

THEN DON'T BUY IT! If you don't like it then fine. Happy racing with
yourself in a few weeks once everyone moves over to it. Papy will probably
remove 2k2 compatibility for the online portion too so I guess you'll just
have to race against the crappy AI.

I got lucky. At best buy it rang up as some movie soundtrack. The lady
running the till looked at it shrugged her shoulders and asked for my 15.99
plus tax which I was happy to give her. Since I doubt I'll be that lucky
again I cut the coupon out of my brother in law's PC gamer when he wasn't
looking.

I bought 2002 just to see what all the fuss was about. I reckon it's an
excellent Nascar simulation, but I was bored after 3 online races. The sim
can't hide the fact that it's one of the dullest racing series on the
planet.
