Okay...........I placed the beta patch into my shared folder in
Kazaa........so here's hoping you guys who want it can find it. It's under
the original name that is flying around this NG..... " beta_patch7.exe "

Maybe I am doing it wrong then?? I copied the file over into my Kazaa
shared files folder. I download my stuff into that folder and I know others
have uploaded files from it................does this folder have to contain
only downloaded Kazaa files?? It's there physically.........checked. I
have no idea why it doesn't work........anyone ??

O.K., but did you upload the file to Kazaa? That may be why it's not
showing up. I just did a file search for "n2003 beta patch" (10:30 pm
CDT, 7/21/03), and came up with no results. You might want to check to
see if the file was uploaded properly.

I just checked.........there is no way to upload it. I just designate it as
a shared file.....which I've done. using Kazaa lite v 2.0.2 if it helps.
It's weird........I know people have uploaded out of my shared
folder.......just the other night as a matter of fact. I'm lost as to why
it isn't showing up.

Afaik you don't upload files to Kazaa.. you put your files in a
'shared directory' and then other users will be able to download this
file.
I noticed I get better search results with Kazaa Lite, or maybe this
is just my imagination. But Lite gets rid of all the spyware and popup
stuff too so that's allready a good reason to install Kazaa Lite.

And fairly obvious, the other user with the Patch file in the shared
directory must have his pc on and kazaa running ;)

I thought Kazaa had died long time ago. I have moved on to emule and am
really happy with the results I've gotten with it. Alot more file hits and
usually the right ones.

Hey guys I downloaded the patch when it first came out the other day. Loaded
it went on line played it.Was very impressed with the changes.But last night
I went on line and the game came up and said my game was the wrong version
wouldnt let me go online.So it may not work on line anymoe.

I don't think, as it says in the readme, that the beta patch is compatible
with prior versions of the game. To wit,

"NOTE: The 1.1.0.0 version of NASCAR? Racing 2003 Season is not multiplayer
compatible with previously released versions. As a client you will only be
able to see and join 1.1.x.x servers, and similarly as a host only 1.1.x.x
clients will be able to see and join your server."

Emule is much better.. but not when you have cable with a stupid
upload cap of 12kb.. takes quite a while to build some credits in
emule then :-/

Yeah, it's ok in there. Have you used the MY KaZaA option to describe
what it is you are sharing? Should help with searches for it.
