GPL and TM Nascar Pro

I just installed a SB-Live and now, the brake pedal on the Nascar Pro
(configured w/ separate pedals) is not recognized at all using the Direct
Input selection.

In fact, I even RE-INSTALLED a TM ACM game card, and it's not recognized
when connected to THAT card either.

Steering, gas, and shifter all seem to work fine.

Anyone got any clues?

If the brake is missing when you are in DOS (try using TMScope), then it
just looks like weird timing.  In other words, must have a loose wire in
the pedal base.  Is the brake available in when set to combined?  If
it's seen by TMScope (which bypasses Windows), then you have a problem
with the NASCAR Pro entry in the Registry.  Try installing ProPanel and
see if this brings it back.

I tried the TMM Scope thing, and it can see the brake pedal just fine (in
both combined AND separate modes).

I'm using a slightly different version (older) than the one you provided
a link for.  I'll uninstall the old one and install the new one and see
if that works.

Thanks for the tips.

Update:

Nascar2 - brake pedal works (but no sound)
Nascar 1999 - sound works, no brake pedal
GPL - sound works, but no brake pedal

I'm running Win95 OSR2 with DirectX 5.2 - the only thing that's changed
is the sound card (went from Guillemot MaxiSound to Creative SB-Live).

Go into the Device Manager and try setting the soundcard's gameport to
I/O 201-201 (I think the default maybe 201-209).  Seems strange that
there is a tie between brake working but no sound or visa versa.  Have
you tried installing any driver updates for the sound card?

Already did that. It doesn't really surprise me that dos games can't do
sound - i don't have any sound environment settings in my autoexec file.

I reinstalled DX5 - no luck.

I installed DX6 - no luck.

I'm running out of ideas, and it's starting to***me off....
