Well, it's been a week now that we've all had GP2 here
in the States, so what is the toughest course?

My vote goes to that darned thing called Pacific.

Toughest to what?  Learn, drive fast or win on? :-)

Pacific certainly is ***.

I agree. My last three days have been on this circuit(well actually off more
than on) and I have become frustrated enough to hurl my wheel at the nearest
wall. My fastest time is a 1.13.461 but I have had a very difficult time
bettering it. I think I will move on.

Yep, TI-Aida. It's actually not too bad except for the Redman/Hobbs
section which is just ICE. :(

Cheers!

naa, Pacific is easy. Monaco quite tricky to learn, but the toughest course
I've so far driven is Brazil (those two first gear hairpins are tricky to get
right. And the car seems relectunt to turn in to the second one). That said, I
have yet to sample Japan (and that was probally the toughest track in F1GP).

I agree. I'm doing pretty good in the first part, but I'm having a hard
time (read: spinning off) in the second part, especially the 2nd hairpin.
Lots of understeer; very hard to get the card right. (anybody got a good
setup?)

My fastest time was 1:21:3xxx (can't remember exactly) but in the race I
never got faster than 1:23 something.  Not very quick, I know, but my setup
did help me get some stability in the tight hairpins.  They are still
mighty scary, though, and I'm sure my setup is less than optimal, but if
you are slower than that, I'd be happy to send them to you.

I have done a 1:20.1xx with very little wing (like front=3 and back=1),
as stiff as you can get the car, and a very low ride height. I'm sure I
could do better though with this setup.  I did this hotlap with old tires
and in the same outing the split times had me on pace for a 1:16.xxx when
I spun off in the last second gear corner.  So with new tires who knows.
Anyone who wants the setup to play with please e-mail me.

The toughest course? The most boring ones, including Portugal and Hungary.

Well, my vote must go to Hungaroring. To track has got no rythm. I
don't understand why keep that fixture.

Haven't tried all the tracks in GP2 yet, but in F1GP (Amiga version)
the worst track for me was Imola, San Marino.  Never had any good luck
in that one.  I haven't tried that course in GP2 yet.  Hungary,
France, Belgium, Brazil and Australia are pretty easy...

Silverstone is another one I never had a lot of sucess in...

Strange, I never mastered that one either, Aqua Minerale in GP1 was
very unforgiving.

I like Pacific, dead easy.

Imola is difficult but in a different sense than Pacific. On Imola I am having
a hard time getting speeds down (1.25.54X is the lowest so far) I think it is a
corner speed problem and all these new suspension options have me confused.
Pacific I could run fast but it was very hard to stay on the track, I think I
spent more time in the sand than on the track. I am limiting myself to 3-days
per track right now in an effort to get a full championship season done.
Hopefully this will give a good overall feel for the game.

I find Magney Course the toughest by far! Those super fast flat out
turns scare the ***out of me. A little understeer and your in the
sandbox at over 150mph. I hate it, it stresses the ***out of me!
