GPL Question

Hi All,
After hearing all the raves, I finally purchased GPL.  After
installation, it is not performing right.  I am running a 550mz Athlon,
128mb ram w/ a Diamond Stealth III S540 w/32mb ram on board.  I am getting a
flickering mouse cursor and little boxes that follow the cursor around,
flickering and showing through to the previous screen, along with only 640
res. and a sky made up of blocks of color.  Nascar3 runs superb using
Direct3D.  Is the sim only set up for 3dfx or rendition?  I've tried
removing/reinstalling but GPL will not (or cannot) detect any hardware
acceleration.  At this point, any kind souls who could supply some advice
would be most appreciated.

Your only chance will be the OpenGL patch at

http://www.papy.com/gpl/gpl.download.index.html

and while you'll there, don't forget to download the 1.2 patch....

You should install the GPL - OpenGL patch, in order to get your videocard
to run with GPL.

Something like

Does the Savage even work with the opengl patch?  I thougt I
remembered TNT users saying the opengl patch was targeted at TNT's so
that even other cards that DO run opengl had problems.  Anyone?

I have a Creative Savage 4 and I can't get the open GL patch to
work with it.  I use a Voodoo 2 for GPL which works quite well.
