MS Force Feedback wheel - How to set up for Nascar 2002?

by Phanto » Sat, 23 Mar 2002 09:01:59

I just bought a Microsoft Force Feedback wheel, and I'm having a heck of a
time configuring it for Nascar 2002.

Sometimes, it just gives me a centering force and that's it. Then other
times, after I play around with the configuration in Windows, I get other
forces from impacts, grass, spinning, etc, but they really seem very
unnatural.

Can anyone help me set this thing up? Are there any "Schemes" in existence
written specifically for N2002?

Thanks.

Brian

I have version 4 of the MSFF software installed and these are my
settings.

Wheel performance - factory default
Pedal mode - separate
Forces - high
map front back forces to wheel - checked

In NR2002
force feedback - checked
100% strength
100% linearity
26ms - latency
18% - damping

Thanks Norman, I'll give that a try.

I always have to enter the *** options and select the Properties for the
MSFF Wheel within windows before starting up either N4 or NR2K2, or I will
not get any Force Feedback.
