Can anyone give me a walk thru on connecting my 2 pc's via null modem
cable to play F1GP{World Circuit}????
I have a cable but all I get is "waiting"messages!
My son is desperate to have a go so please help asap!!!

If you already have a cable, then go to Radio Shack and buy a null modem
(about $3.99). Be careful to check the pin configurations of both the
cable and null modem. If necessary, you may need a gender-bender (also
$3.99).
Bring your cable to the store to make sure you get everything right.
If you have a pin-pusher, you could just swap pins 2 and 3, but do so on
only ONE end of the cable (which end you do does not matter).
Or a third option is to bring your cable to the Radio Shack and see if
they will swap the pins for you. Can't hurt to ask (may save you $8.00).
Make sure you list the right Com port number on each PC.
Choose a baudrate, must be the same on both PC's, 9600 will do fine
At linktype choose LINK for both PC's
At Directlink choose LEAD for one PC and FOLLOW for the other.
the LEAD PC is has control over both PC's when linked.
Press Connect at both PC's and they should connect.
