Slow connectionin null modem Nascar

When ever I try to connect between a compaq 4-66 and a
pentium-90 I get "slow connection, latency of 0.25 seconds"
and the other one says "can't exchange tracks and they both
dont connect.

I have tried this with 2 cables so I dont think its the
cable..

Any ideas?

I too have a P90 and DX2-66 and although sometimes I can get  the null
modem to work, ultimately it crashes.

I get the same thing. I downloaded the 1.21 patch thinking it would help, but no joy. It's not your hardware
thats the problem, its the game. Last time this happened, I exited from Nascar and started World Circuit. I
didn't reboot, check cables, anything. World Circuit ran perfect for over 3 hours. Nascar is a great game, but
Papyrus could learn something from Microprose about head to head connections.
