need a little help getting online w/gpl

I am not super computer smart but not a total moron either! So my
question is that I really dont know where to begin once I get into the
multiplayer menu. I have played other games online, but they come with
eisier direction or its own site getting on-line.
I am sure that it cant be too awful difficult! I still am connecting
analog, ussually at 46666bps and sometimes 48000. Is there any sites
that are worse than others for lag? Or really just looking for a
good(non-laggy) address recomendation!
Any additional advice would be appreciated also!

The raw game (IIRC) requires you to know ahead of time
who is hosting. There are easier ways:

Visit     http://gpl.gamestats.com/vroc/
for lots of geting online information.
The site also directs you to online game instances
like the sites for the other games you mentioned.

Go to www.vroc.com and download their soft, then you connect through them,
works fine for me, with a 48k connection.

You will need the 1.2 patch from www.papy.com.  Then go to www.vroc.net
and read the stuff there.  Download winvroc and enjoy.
